Once again, STMicroelectronics [Malta] Ltd. in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, will be holding its 2013 Annual Familiarisation Visit for final year Engineering and ICT Students on Friday 12th April 2013 at 9.00am.

This visit is set for employment purposes as applications will be open to final year students, soon after the visit.

An agenda of the visit will be sent to you once the booking and payment is confirmed.To book for the visit you may send us e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , providing name, surname, ID, telephone/mobile number and stream by not later than Wednesday 10th April.

A minimal booking fee of 2 euros is to be paid for the visit. The visit is FREE for IEEE members upon presentation of the student membership card.

The IEEE student branch Malta is unveiling a new project in collaboration with Vodafone Malta, The Vodafone EcoApp Challenge. This project challenges students to create a smart phone application to save energy with their smart phone. The aim of the challenge is for competitors to design and create a mobile phone application that provides an eco-friendly solution to the User.

This competition is open to all University of Malta (UoM) students and non-UoM students. UoM students will not be competing with non-UoM students and vice-versa.
